The benefits of satellite television are vast, which is one of the reasons so many people are making the change from cable to satellite. However, the high resolution is another reason in that every program is much clearer. Being able to watch all venues with incredible clarity makes the overall viewing experience even more exciting. Simply put, resolution is the distinguishing factor of alternating dark and light lines, when spaced closely. When the lines are too tiny, the image becomes blurry with a grayish shade. Finally, the most preferred resolution for high-definition satellite television is 1080p, which offers a picture of 1920 x 1980, being 60 complete frames every second.
